Parks and walking trails

A total of approximately 6 kms of sealed & formed walking tracks connect the entire “Parklakes” Master Planned Community which consists of approx 82ha (202 acres) with 22.3 Ha (55 acres) dedicated to parkland, that's 28% of the whole development. These trails and walking paths connect the different residential, parkland and commercial areas of the Sunshine Coast development.

The walking trails take energetic people through palm forests, cross creeks, along forested hillsides which give terrific views towards Mt Coolum and the rich Maroochy Valley. The trail then traverses the residential areas into the lower environmental park with it’s series of clean water ponds rich in birdlife and animal life, then onto the sports fields and large lake system. All water bodies are stocked with Australian Bass, a local species of freshwater fish which can grow up to 2 kg and are regarded as a great sports fish.
