A new shopping precinct at one of the Sunshine Coast's leading master planned residential communities, Parklakes, is under construction and due to open 2012.

The centre – near the recently opened Perren Park off Parklakes Drive – will include several small retailers, a child care centre and children's playground. Parklakes spokesperson Rob Midgley said the centre will include a number of small retailers, such as a mini supermarket, restaurant and bottle shop.
